In 2008, the husband and wife duo of Andreas and Bronwyn set out to open the Dolce Vita Bakery; a cozy, East End spot where Andreas could combine his extensive baking experience with Bronwyn’s business and design savoir-faire. A hidden gem in the heart of Saint-Leonard, Dolce Vita quickly became more than just a bakery for the pair, their three children, and the community as a whole. A one-stop-shop for coffee, breads, pastries, and sweets, Andreas and Bronwyn soon realized that their Bavarian style pretzels were becoming the bakery’s defining feature.
In 2011, Andreas and Bronwyn launched Pretzel & Company; a pretzel-only offshoot with products made fresh daily in the the Dolce Vita kitchen. Made fresh daily by Andreas and his team, and served by a staff who have been with the company since the very beginning, the pretzels are served alongside Dolce Vita’s many other delicacies.
While Dolce Vita Bakery has grown beyond what Andreas and Bronwyn first imagined, it remains a
humble endeavour rooted deep in family values. With the goal of creating a great product day-in, and day-out, Dolce Vita
Bakery & Pretzel & Company are two companies housed under one roof.
